ROUTES IN THE NATURE
Routes in a green environment.
A Destination with an extraordinary panoramic scenery is the natural
agricultural Park of the Prati di Mugnano that extends on the right
of the Reno river until Contrafforte Pliocenico in the area of
Ganzole. The Reno river is of particular interest where important
operations of recovery have been undertaken. The so-called Contrafforte
Pliocenico comprises Mount Mario, the Rocca di Badolo and the Adone
Mount and introduces elements of great naturalistic (caves, fossils,
typical flora), panoramic and routes of interest (cliff arenas).
A few kilometres from the town we have typical examples of Apennine
landscape like Lagune, Iano, Mongardino. The present trails of
Sasso Marconi are signed in a map of the paths of Sasso Marconi.
There are twelve paths (beyond 100 kilometres of trails) coverable
by foot and, in part, by bicycle.
